AC condensers are basically the radiator for the A/C system. The condenser is placed in front of the radiator. As the compressor compresses the refrigerant, the pressure increases. As pressure increases, so does the refrigerant temperature. The refrigerant needs to be cooled down to keep the pressure at a safe level as well as maintain optimum performance of the A/C system. As air flows through the condenser, the refrigerant is cooled. Since the condenser is a high-side component on the A/C system, the condenser should always be flushed with A/C flush to remove any compressor debris.
